What size allen wrench is the front axel??

I vaguely recall a 21mm

25mm is the axle diameter (about 1 inch)

the pinch bolts are either 6 or 8mm heads.

the nut on the front axle varies on the different bikes, usually 21, 24 or 27mm

i think the older 17mm axles werwe the 21mm nuts.
