Lol yea it sucks that you can't have any piercings which I still think is a pretty gay rule especially if its just ears, tongue, nipples or cock since its not visible save for the ears.
Have fun, take every school you can take, learn everything you can including things outside of your MOS and even though volunteering for things will suck at times it will show you are willing to "suffer" so that you can advance and aquire more responsibilities.
That and since you're infantry read and re-read how to use every piece of equipment there is. SO what you might not be a mortarman but you should learn the basics so if one of them goes down you can help assist the remaining one, same with any other specialty and most importantly know how the fuck to use a radio, fill it, crypto etc because you WILL use them extensively ini iraq.
Good luck

ya think id be able to get away with a plug you could barely see, or are they gonna strip me down and be like NOPE? ive obviously already done my physical at MEPS, so is there any other time they will examine my cack? only reason im concerned is cuz i know what its like piercing threw scar tissue...and not being able to fuck sucks too.
thanks for the advice, man. id like to move up as fast as possible, which im guessing will make the service more enjoyable. im hoping to turn this into a career. retire or die tryin by 41

Nope it will be seen during inspection that is held every night before lights out.
You will not be able to get away with any during any sort of training phase.
Don't get ahead of yourself though, you may either not like it, like it but want to move on or a whole host of things. Just take it a day at a time.
Chow to chow, sunday to sunday.

11B huh? LOL Welcome to the shit young man.......
I did almost 7 as a 11B/91B
Airborne option? where are they sending you to basic? Ft Benning for everything or what? I know TRADOC has jumped around a ton since I was in.
As for your anatomy question..I don't remember any inspections that checked for pierced penis' maybe I missed that part....sure you're not talking about the Navy? LOL
Are you doing One Station Unit Training? Meaning you do your 8weeks basic and then Basic Infantry school at the same place? Makes it a bit smoother...
One thing to remember in basic...you ARE going to get smoked. No matter how perfect you are, you will push till you reach China. Face that. Ignore the physical shit and realize they want to fuck with you. Just let it slide....keep your mouth shut and bust your ass and it will go by quicker than you think.
When you go to Airborne school...take heed....more than likely they will give you a taste of freedome after 16 weeks of lockdown...like telling you when you report that you can do what ever the fuck you want....they just don't tell you that you'll be running your ass off at 0'dark-thirty. Only thing worse than running when you're still drunk, is running among a bunch of other drunks puking and sweating it out...
And work your ass off so you don't get stuck on a 11C Mortar Crew...not where you want to be.
You thought of trying to go to RIP? (Ranger Indoc?) 4 Weeks immediately after jump school. You pass that you go to Ranger school.
My philosophy was if I Was going to get shot at, I wanted to be surrounded by guys with the best training possible.......
Look into 91B, medic school as well. I guarantee you they will be asking people if they are interested. You get to chill at Ft Sam in San Antonio , but be warned, Ranger or 91B you are more likely to be in the shit alot sooner.
Good luck.
And Hoo f'n Wah

my papers say 11x infantry recruit, is 11b the same thing? anyway, everything is at ft benning. 18 weeks 3 days.
i do plan on trying to become a ranger. i plan on working myself to the limits, not that they wont do that for me, but i want to do well also. i was running 5 miles a day and doing extensive calisthenics until i broke my ankle. now that ive turned into a blob on the couch from having to baby my ankle, i know its going to suck even more, but this is what i want. ill be in the best shape of my life, see the world, do cool shit no one else can, and get paid to do it.
so you think the piercing is gonna be able to stay under the radar....i guess its worth a try to throw a plug in there and see what happens.

So they didn't do hygieine inspections on ya'll every night. Then again ya'll are pretty nasty anyways
The way iraq is being a ranger or medic isn't gonna get you to see anything any faster than any other victor unit.
You all go to the same place. We worked with rangers and they did the same patrolling as every other infantry. Most of them complained about how they'd rather be in A'stan since in iraq there isn't near the opportunity to do SF type mission. closest you come to that is working with STA or hunter killer teams.
Whats wrong with mortars? I know a lot of guys who fucking loved it. In iraq today no one is humping mortars around. You'll chunk em in the back of the humvee drive to your shitty patrol base set up, sink the baseplate and sit around til night and fire illum. Iraq is about as boring of a place as can be when it comes to trying out special training etc. Its all basic infantry skills 99% of the time.

Maybe the Army is different but if you had that shit in your fucking dick, not only would you get fucked up by the DI's you'd be seeing your CO and facing charges for blatantly not following the UCMJ. If you can't deal with simple rules now because you don't like em you'll really hate the fleet. Take the shit out because its not authorized and if they do find it it will not be worth whatever happens. Then again maybe the army doesn't check to make sure ya'll are a bunch of nasty non showering fucks.

LMAO...........coming from a jarhead? Shit...we may be nasty bitches in the Army...but at least they don't TEACH US HOW TO SHOWER as part of basic..LMAO
As for 'getting in the shit' sooner or not with Ranger Q or Medic Q it depends on what unit you are assigned to. Yes Iraq, just like 99.99 % of all other operations in the world, are constant repeats and use of basic infantry skills...and those basic skills will save your ass.
"better to sweat in training than bleed in combat.."
And you WILL question why the fuck you have to take your damn weapon apart so much.....until the time you have to field strip that fucker to clear a jam, at night, with shit flying at you. Then you know why.
The 11X program is Infantry. BUT at the end of your 18 weeks (basic + AIT for Infantry) you will be tasked as 11C-Mortar or 11B-Infantry ..."depending on the needs of the Army".
And as far as your penis jewelry..me personally I'd take the damn thing out...of course I would never have gotten in the first place, that's just me.
Cause let me tell you...as a grunt you can end up in some nasty ass places and any open holes can get you some really cool infections..........
Good Luck

very good point. army means more to me than a rod going threw dick. makes the girlfriend go crazy but whatever.
im not tryin to bash anyone on this, but since were on marines and army...why are all the marine recruits fuckin bastards? ill walk by while they're practicing drill and ceremony with future recruits, say hey whats up blah blah blah, and then like 30 minutes later when us army guys are smokin cigarettes, some recruits will walk out trying to talk shit...and they havnt even hit basic!

It's the mentality of wanna-be Marines. There are plenty of kick ass Marines...as there are Army, NAvy and every other service. I served in a Joint Services Command with some great jarheads...doesn't matter which uniform you wear, it's under the same flag.
