Default Recruiter Says No Bike?

So I'm shippin for bootcamp in Jan. and I've been in the DE program since I had less than 180 days till I graduated. I just rode my brother's CBR600 to our poolee function and my SSG immediately singles me out. He just looks at me and says "WTF?". So long story short I'm at attention for 15 minutes talking to him about the dangers of riding and the precautions which he knows well enough; he was my big brother's best friend in Iraq and even before they got out of high school they were getting me drunk and doing wheelies down the road on his buell and the aformentioned CBR. And then I have to fireman's carry him everywhere. I'd be in the middle of sungods or monkeyfuckers and he'd make me carry him all the way back to the cars (200 yards) and back just because "he likes to ride too". His reasoning is that I need to be careful with government property and that it may reflect an insincerity to the HNIC of the RS. So for another exercise just to show I didn't want to be a cook/want 0311 and was serious (as he very well ******* knows) I had to serve imaginary beans to every poolee and SSG. "Beans recruit" over and over. I just thought it was funny because we're actually really good friends, close as brothers I just catch more shit because of it. Have y'all ever had stuff like this happen to you about your bikes?

Sounds about right...

He's your recruiter and it's his azz on the line to the RS if you wreck and can't ship on your date...He's just trying to cover his own azz.

My good advice would be to join the Air Force or Coast Guard. They take care of their people.

+ 0.5

usaf treats their personnel the best out of all the services, but the advancement is slow and they are more selective in their entrance process.

i've heard mixed reviews of the USCG though; more negative than positive.

Ha. Airforce and the CG.

Yea I know he's just lookin out for me and himself more than that. It's just funny that the more they like you the more shit you catch. Rather get it now and laugh about it than having a 100 people look at my dumbass with two DI's in my face. Thurs I had to sit against the wall for awhile, two legs then with one.

You mock the Coast Guard but I tell ya what, those guys work just as hard as any of the other services. They are out there now deploying overseas, they go out on the 6 months cruises like the Navy does...believe me, they earn their keep.

Now the AF...they're still gay
