Default People at Pendleton(group rides?)

I was out at Camp Pendleton these past few days and I saw ALOT of military on bikes and was wondering if anyone out there does alot of group rides? I detach from this duty station on the 8th of July and I love to go out riding and barely get to group ride out here since there aren't many with bikes here.

Where are you detaching from??? If you are headed to Pendleton, your new unit will definately have a few riders to hook up with. I just came from there. Now I'm stuck on the east coast. While I was there, I went to Palomar Mountain every weekend... and sometimes hit the surrounding roads around Paly. Just look up Palomar Mountain on google earth, mapquest, etc. and head to the top. Everybody hangs out at the little convinience store/resturaunt at the top of the mountain. You're sure to meet a few fellow Marines up there. Just be careful with the East Grade road for your first few goes... it bites people every weekend.

Sounds like better riding than pure desert. Im out at Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow. Its super small and really sandy.
