Reserve Dental Exam

Hey guys I got a quick question and I couldn't find the answer anywhere on the net. I am in the Army Reserve and every 5 years we have to get a physical and dental exam to update our file. I had the physical about three months ago and you get to use that day to RST a whole day in lieu of drill. I have my appointment for the dental exam today and they said they think that I only get a half a day off because it is a dental appointment and don't have any documents to prove it. Anyways, my unit isn't exactly the best in the world and I don't want to get half a day taken away from me. Does anyone know the real answer to this and if so, do you have a link so I can show them supporting documentation? Thanks a bunch!

I do know in the Air Force Reserves (IMA program) that we can get our annual dental exam only by our civilian dentist. I do, but again, that's USAFR...not Army.
