I hated switching to those and having to stand watch out in the freaking sun. Nothing like getting sweat stains on whites.

did you know they are doing away with the working whites, working blues, and the utilities (or dungarees)?

they are replacing the utilities w/ a form of cammies and the working uniforms with uniforms similar to the marine corps uniform.

Do what some cheese and crackers to go with that whine?

We don't change uniforms here in Hawaii. Then again, I wear MARPAT cammies.

I almost cant wait till we get the new working uniforms.

However I probably wont see whites or blues again ever. I'll be wearing DCU's until the new Cammies come out.

I was stationed there many years ago before the camps were ever built up. It used to be a pretty decent duty station. Plenty of activities to keep one busy.

Now, I'm not sure. I haven't heard any feedback as of late.

HA! you mean you don't miss the days of wash, dry, press, press, and press again?????

when i was coming back in, i told the recruiter i wanted either IT or HM. i have a degree in sport's medicine so i thought i'd do rather well in the field, but the recruiter told me i didn't qualify b/c i had no NECs as a NAVET. i kind of laughed and thought to myself it was typical the navy wouldn't recognize a 4 year degree from one of the nation's top programs over their stupid ass mass information cram courses.

anyway, i got in the IT field and i'm glad i did. it's a good field to be in (except the typical BS you have to put up w/).

I've been here 6 months got about 6 left unless I extend for another year after this one is up... Most people arent happy with these orders for 1 because of the Job..2 because they were TOLD they were coming.

yeah, that's what happened to the guys that just left my command.

they were told only b/c they are not going to reenlist and they waited way too long to choose orders. they were at the 1 month mark and still hadn't negotiated for orders, so, now they were told where they were going. totally their fault though.

Khakis or DCU's for me. Just depends where I'm at on what day. I guess I better get my summer khakis ready.

I am so glad that I only have one uniform to wear. I have my ACU's and thats it. I could not deal with all the different uniforms that you NAVY folk have to wear.
