Default Advanced rider training! My course anyways!

I do advanced rider training for my unit and took some footage yesterday that I thought you guys might enjoy! I have a few more clips I will be loading as well, so check back when I update it!

The guy on the SV later ended up with a minor lowside due to dragging hard parts, but the frame sliders pretty much saved the bike from any damage! The guy on the DRZ 400SM is a buddy that went through the Code School with me and is getting better all the time! That DRZ is a hoot to ride! I have some footage of me on it as well as some of me on the CBR that I will am posting!

I start with basics doing a slalomn course that teaches body positioning and keeping loose with the arms, then go to an offset slalomn that incorporates looking through the corners, then into braking drills to learn more about front braking and how much you can really get away with, then corner entrance, throttle control, and putting it all together. The road course is about the best I can come up with due to limited space, but it's fun!

Jimmy on his DRZ 400 SM and Andy on his SV. This was on Thursday afternoon, just before his minor lowside. Sad part is, before I got to the location today, he was showing off his new "skills" and ended up trashing the bike by running into a parked truck. I always say that there are two times when a rider is most dangerous: When they first start, because they don't know a damn thing, and when they "think" they know how to ride. Well, Andy "thought" he knew how to ride and trashed the SV this afternoon showing off.

Here is a clip of me on the CBR.......

Another clip of me on Jimmy's DRZ. It's a different sensation sliding the front and rear on every corner!

Reverse direction on the CBR......

Here is a clip of me on the CBR with Andy on the SV.

I have some more great stuff from Friday I will be loading too!

This one is a section where I was playing with Adam, who is an excellent rider that is still learning. He is like a sponge and just soaks up information! GREAT young rider! I am on my Aprilia in this clip!

2nd clip on the Futura........

My son also came out today and rode the SV as well as Jimmy's DRZ. He took to that DRZ like a fish to water! Got more stuff loading, so please enjoy what I have so far!

Damn kids! Gotta do wheelies everywhere!

I guess I should add that he is my son!

your course looks a lot better than the one i took. when i took the course advanced riders course on base, it was almost the same as the beginner course, just a little faster pace. i would have been highly upset if i had to pay for it.

Some of you may know that we are required to have bike clubs in each unit. Well, I am the club President for my unit. This is the main reason I do this training for my guys. Last year, the Base Safety Office sent 30 guys to the Keith Code Superbike School in order for us to try to convey the skills and lessons learned, so I am trying to do exactly that!

Most of the video stuff was taken after my "lesson plan" was over for the day though, so it was mainly the decent guys (and my son) playing on the course I had layed out.

Some more clips....
