1C6 aka 277 (pre-McPeak change in '94) Satellite System Operator in Air Force. 8 years enlisted
Now, 13S Space and Missile (nukes) Officer in California Air National Guard. Why does Arnold need satellite flyers? Don't know, but we got em.
Never been out of country, but my weapon systems (GPS & Milstar EHF comm)have been hurting bad guys in every fight. Just hope we never uncork the big boys my career field holds in reserve (ICBMs). Couple thousand square miles of glass anyone?
I spent 6 years as a Boiler Technician in the Navy. The rate no longer exists. It's now called a Machinist Mate. A basicaly do the same thing now as a civilian working in a powerplant.

Don't confuse me with a ammo troop, unlike them I do the real work by loading the damn bombs/missiles/gun in any weather on any jet. Pilots be warned, wouldn't it be a nightmare trying to fire or drop your munitions and nothing happens??? Can't wait to see chatter from this,LOL. Take care and much respect to everyone, even my rival Ammo.
SO what would the load toads do if ammo didnt build and maintain all the munitions? Oh right then the air force is just the worlds largest uncharted airline! Weapons, taking ammos load since 1947!
