I hate the fact that I have to wear an orange vest to ride but you gotta pay to play I suppose, anyways I bought the Icon vest and I'm pretty impressed. I was worried it would be too big and baggy but when over my A* jacket it fits well. It even has the base order numbers showing that it is acceptable for all four branches printed on the front. Icon tends to be quite flashy but this isn't too bad and it seems that it will hold up for a while.

There are bungy cord ties on the side which make the jacket fit snug but not too snug. I've never had a problem with it being too bag or flailing in the wind.
I've noticed that more non-military riders are wearing them these days because it actually fits. Unlike those crappy bicycle/running reflective vests.
I'm working on some electro-luminescent stripes for my Icon vest.

Yeah I am pretty impressed with those if I was still in I would definitely look at getting one but I was out and off post when they came out. The look a whole lot better than the bicycle vests

Especially if they turn pink after many hours under the sun. My co-workers beat me up sometimes in the parking lot after I get off of work. It's so humiliating.
in Hawaii dude if so do they still meet at texaco on friday and the park on sunday...
The pack riders are spread out now. There's a Sunday Ride every week for more experienced riders but for me, the guys I roll with usually pick a spot to meet and we ride out to where ever. Personally, I'd rather ride solo or with 10 or less riders.

whenever I am wearing my yellow mil spec vest I have people think I am a cop. I ride a yel/blk gsxr 600 and my roommate has a blue 636 and we've had many comments like "hello officer" and so on.
In the Air Force we only have to wear reflective at night but I usually wear my ICON mil-spec over my regular jacket even during the daytime.
Here on Elmendorf AFB we have to be wearing the vest at all times, and at the moment we have almost 19 hours of light. I think thats a PACAF reg that AMC has adopted and I'm sure more commands will follow. It seems that everyone likes to take the DOD reg and run with it.
