Sportbike: Someone help me decide!!!
There is a possibility of staying in. A buddy of mine broke his back in a bad motorcycle wreck in Germany and they tried to boot him. He ended up staying in and is a SFC now. Besides, look at Gen.Franks ret., he led VII Corp in Desert Storm, lost his leg in Vietnam. CSM Palacios ret. was at Fort Hood as either 4ID or III Corp CSM with a prosthetic arm. Troops coming back injured from the sandbox are staying in. The choice is yours. Don't let them push you out if you truly want to stay in. If not take your experiences with you as another step in the life. Good Luck!

Good Luck on the MEB. I just have a few questions though...how much ROM do you have in your shoulder? Does it impact your ability to lift, move or transfer patients? Isn't there also the option of working in a NON hands-on environment, which should include some sort admin work? Just wondering what kind of options there are available for you.

Nurses dont need shoulders damn
Get out and go back in as a GS
good luck to ya though
UMMM wrong answer. Come work my shift for a night and you can tell me how little you used your shoulder after 12 hours. The real question should be whether or not they can find him a job that can accommodate what he is able to do physically. And being the military, there are LOTS of admin type jobs, especially in the medical field!!

I know they havent called me or anything at all and my doctor is clueless so going to her is a waste of time. Hope it works out for you!

have they done a "fit for duty" yet.....if you're in a hurry ask your CO to start the process for you - if not in a hurry then just relax and a collect a paycheck...sometimes they wait to see what your condition is gonna do....everyone is different...
for me it took 3 months to get the MEB/PEB started but once the process starts they are suppossed to complete it within 3 months...

My ex-wife is at Ft. Hood and she's on percocet and the patch too. She having a helluva time keeping food down. Her back is all jacked up. She's still pending an MED. We are getting married again this month. Damn I love that woman.
Do you know anything about "admin leave" versus convelescent leave? I heard they may give it to her AFTER MEB, but before PEB. Any comments?
