$40 G's for signing up Army!!!! Woo Whoo!!!

DA will raise the cap to 40K tomorrow, we may wish to consider holding contracting of anyone eligible for more than 20K until tomorrow. Since DA will not make it retro active and an applicant cannot reno for the new amounts, it may be more ethical to ask applicants to pre-process today and contract tomorrow. Your call, but we only have about 70 folks on the floor and thought you may wish to take this into consideration. Only a few will be eligible for more than 20K, so it will only effect a few. Example: if a QS (14K) and 11X 5 year term (14K)…will give the applicant 28K tomorrow…today 20K, if a Hi Grad add on another 8K (16 years) tomorrow for 36K, but not today etc.

If anyone is interested PM me. I will answer any questions you have.

Is this cash paid upon completion of basic and AIT?

It will be just like before, for example if you were eligible for $20,000 you would get $10,000 after completeing BT and AIT and the rest would be divided over your enlistment quarterly. So half of the cash would be avaliable not the whole $40 G's. Man, you know every soldier would be riding in Exscalades and shit if that was to happen.LMAO

Which MOSs or job skills does the $20k and $40k enlistment bonuses apply to? I'm not up to speed on Army MOSs.

Wait a second, if I signed up for the Army and completed Basic Training and all that other shit, I have $20k in my pocket right off the start? With a possibility of $40k? I think I'm missing something. Can you explain it for someone that is pretty much clueless? Or is that money paid out through-out the enlistment? And is there an additional salary on top of that?

You need to go talk to your local recruiter for that, but general it would be infantry, IT, or MI jobs.

Yes. Now a perfect example is the old policy, you get $20 G's signing bonus. Now after completing all required training i.e. (BT, AIT) you report to your PDS file your SRB and recieve $10 G's up front, the rest is given to you over your remaining enlistment period quarterly(I guess to keep you from putting all your eggs in one basket). In this case you could be eligible for $20 G's up front and the rest paid over your remaining enlistment. pretty cool huh?

BTW, you still get (totally separate from your bonus money) your basic pay, VHA, etc, etc any other entiltments you have coming to you. That would make one hell of a income refund huh?

Wow this so backs up what I posted earlier in the thread regarding upping the age again, the Governent deals with retention issues by throwing large amounts of cash at people at the expense of tax payers. If they addressed the issues at hand and actually did something the public agreed with, they wouldn't have any problems.

Triple it and I MIGHT think about it.

There are talks of making a increase to $90,000 for certian jobs pretty soon

but as long as am in recruiting I would personally not let you back in, I will soon be back on line and I would not allow my NCO's to have to deal with a selfish ass person like you. BTW, I retire in about 4 years, try to get your broke ass back in then.
