Default Need somehelp with my chain

I have a pretty dumb question, so bear with me. I bought an 07 zx6r this summer that had a few ofthe basic mods... one of which is a vortex rear sprocket. It looks as though the sprocket is roughly the same size as stock, just a slight bit bigger. If I were to want to replace the chain, what size should I get, or how would I determine what size I need based on the sprocket? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

your bike came stock with a 114 link 520 chain & 16-43 sprockets, just take a look at the rear sprocket it should have on there how many teeth it has, that would help

It doesn't come stock with a 520, I believe it is a 525.

525 or even 530 size chain is what you want, the 520 is too thin and won't last.

I have over 8k on my 520 chain and it still looks great...same with my sprockets. I have a 15 front and 43 rear....the front sprocket is cheaper than a rear one just as a buyers tip.

generaly what ever size you go with the company will have a spread sheet to make sure you get what you want and the chain will come longer than just making it around you stock sprocket set up when i got my D.I.D. chain i had to break off 12 links cause it was too long and i jjust had one tooth smaller on my front sprocket all else was stock and my 520 x-ring has 15,000 miles on it wear is all about maintenance lube it every 400-500 miles and it will last for years.
