Default How much is a '99 ZX6R worth?

I'm about to buy a 1999 ZX6R on craigslist locally, it has not quite 30,000 miles on it, slight cracks on the front cowl and fairing. It also has sprockets, chain, and a full header-back muzzy exhaust. It rides pretty well, and starts up easily, with a new battery, and pretty new tires.

How much do you think I should pay for it? The seller agreed to 2850.

Thanks, guys

It seems a bit high to me for the milage. I bought a 2005 with 2000 miles on it for $5,000 in March 2008. It was in perfect condition in every way. Spotless body and ran like new.

Thanks, I think the mileage is the killer here too. Does anybody else have thoughts? Specifically, people who have bought '98-'99 or '00-'02 ZX6R's.

you could buy a bike 1999 for 3k with 50k miles. IN TIP TOP SHAPE.

you could a 2005 with 2k miles THAT'S A MONEY PIT.

I've riddin a couple bikes with miles SO HIGH you WOULDN'T BELIEVE that rode like a new 07 or 08.

it all deppends on the condition. check the chain, tires, sprockets, brakes, leaky forks, engine leakage, brake lines, coolint, lights, turn signals, poping/backfire/stalling/sputter/nocking/not normal shaking.

so don't judge a bike by its miles because the bike that has 5k miles could have lived in the 16k rpm by some jerk burning up his block with a blown ring.

while the bike with 40k miles could have been cruzed and been someones baby with full service AT ALL TIMES.

I have my 2002 ZX9R for sale for only $4700. Check out my profile. I have a picture there. 2850 is high for a 99 zx6r but that is how bike prices have been lately.

I need the cash so Im selling.
2002 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R

Candy Gold Spark and Metallic Black Only put this color on 02's

The bike has just about 23k

It's in excellent shape, and rides perfectly.

Alo lowered it 2 inches but can be raised back up no problem.

Just put on the dyno at scotts powersports in coopersburg and came at 135 RWHP! 147 hp at the crank per Kawaski. My friend has a 2008 GSXR1000 and he has to keep up with me and he paid $13k for his bike! Ouch!
This bike is very well cared for and will not disappoint!

$2,850 sounds about right.

I had an '00 that I sold back in the spring that was pretty stock and had over 25k on the clock and needed a little work for 3 grand.

These motors last for a while.
