Slip-on's are one of the easiest things I have ever done to a bike. Even easier than changing the oil. Unless you are extremely mechanically retarded, then you will have no trouble. A full exhaust system is harder, but even still it is relatively simple. Read the instructions, loosen/remove a couple of bolts, take old exhaust can off, put new one on, tighten bolts, have beer.

Look in the kawi section or do a simple google search.
The ZX6 has two maps ...the euro map and the US map.
The jumper mod activates the Euro map by shorting a wire across two terminals on a connector under the seat (at least that is where it was on the bike I saw).
This unleashes...get ready.....NINE FRAKKING HORSEPOWER for the cost of a $0.10 piece of insulated wire.
I am blown away by this....it costs SO much to get 9hp on a modern SS bike, but the kawi ZX6s have it just waiting to be unlocked.

Yeah I have done plenty of exhaust work on my cobra but every shop I go to starts talking about how it's extra for this and that bc the exhaust is harder to take off on the 05/06 and there is some sensor thay will trip a light on my bike for the fuel injection or something like that. I'm sure I can do the install but I don't want any issue once i'm done bc I didn't do something.
Is there a company that makes a slip on comprable to the Akrapovic one?
Thanks

There is no reasonable price for the akropovic exhaust but you get what you pay for.

Not sure...but if you can do the mod, you might as well do it now...the boost in HP occurs ONLY at the very top end of the power curve...around 12K rpm.
Below 12K, its exactly the same power curve...so the steps you are taking now to ride easy, will not be hampered by the mod.
Go check on a ZX specific forum to see if the jumper mod is available for your bike.
