Default ZZR1400 on a Dyno Run

was at the Welsh Motorcycle show in Builth Wells (UK) and a guy with an '07 ZZR1400 with full yoshi race pipes on put his bike on the free dyno run!

The bike hit the limiter at 186mph in 6th at about 1500rpm short of the red line.. with the limiter removed would easily pull 200mph!

Thought you might like to see it.. there's a little vid of the run at

I dont mean to sound rude, but really so what if it would turn 200 mph on a dyno. Hell you could probably re-gear it and make it turn 250 mph on a dyno. Dyno mph is isn't important, as all your overcoming is inertia and then the rolling resistance of the tire and drum once its spinning. Bust 200 mph on the road and then people will be impressed.

Come on you can come up with a better insult than "Huge whale of a machine" Cant ya? But then thats typical response from those who ride little 600cc bikes...

it posted 118.5f tlb @ 7600rpm torque and 190 bhp @ 9600 rpm but that was without the Ramair..

guy was running full yoshi pipes that sounded great at the limiter but had not had it mapped (only had the pipes fitted the night before the show)..

Cool post, thanks. Even though it's hardly relevent what a machine will do while indoors, strapped on another machine; it's still interesting. Performance on the open road (or the track) is of course more relevent and important. And really what matters most are the skills of the RIDER.
