Exclamation Cooling Fan Issue????

I have a '98 Ninja ZX9 and the cooling fan won't kick on at all..It worked the other day and today on my way to work I noticed that the fan wasn't kicking on. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do myself before I take it to the bike shop....PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I assume your temp. gage is working? Is it reading high enough to where the fan usually comes on? If the gage is not working, the coolant temp. sensor is probably bad.

If that is all good, check your fuses and wiring around your relays for a loose connection or blown fuse. If that is all good, it could be a bad relay.

Next check should be to put 12 volts directly on the fan's electrical connector to verify the fan itself works.

Other than that, it could always be a wire somewhere that has worn through or just a bad connection.
