Welcome to SBN, John!! Group rides can be dangerous. Riding with one or two good friends is fun, but solo is great as well.

Welcome. Its too bad you went down with riding in a group. Question is why though? Is it something that someone else did or was it something that you did? Like riding beyond your skill level? It's easy to get "caught up" when riding in a group but when everyone rides within their means and understands the different limits of each other, maintains their space and lines its great.... but anyways Welcome again.

yeah blind turns can be painfully unexpected back its good to see that your back in the saddle. Nevertheless we should ride sometime - even though you only ride solo as of late - just think of it as you ridin solo with someone else riding solo
