Just wanted to say hello.
I am from upstate NY located in Wilton/Gansevoort area,
I have an 04 Kawasaki zzr600.
I have been riding for a year and love it.
Welcome from Glens Falls!!!! I also just joined this past week myself and am in the process of purchasing my first bike from Sportline in Queensbury. I'm looking forward to getting out on the road after taking the course at ACC next month.
So far, I think this place friggin rocks! Everyone here is so good to chat with and ready to share their experiences and expertise. it's making me purchsing my first bike that much more fun and is actually relieving alot of stress. Listen to what people here have to say. They are one heck of a knowledgeable bunch!!!
Again, welcome to the site! Climb on, grab those handlebars tight and hang on cause you're in for one helluva ride!
I took that class at ACC last June. You will love it, I had so much fun. They make it comfortable, and they take their time if they have to. I actually took my two days of riding in the rain both days and I still had lots of fun. Well good luck, and thanks again.
Did you get any books for the class? I was at Barnes & Noble tonight and saw the MSF book on intorductory riding and picked it up. It's gonna suck if they give this book to the students. I wantt o get all the knowledge I can before I get out on the road...
You are supposed to receive a packet from ACC with a paperback book in it. I actually didn't get the book before the class started I just got a book that first night. The first night is a night class for 3 hours, and believe it or not it is fun even though you are going through the book and watching movies. I got a 100 on the class test, didn't study and was just there for that first night. The road test at the end I only got 5pts off. And I never rode a bike before that class.
i live in albany. there's a lot of great guys around here to ride with. i've already met a bunch. check out the new york section.
ride safe
I would've written the same thing mike.
