New guy here, with a few simple questions(110cc bike)
Hey Guys, How's everyone doing? I'm new to this site, and fairly new to the street bike world... I'll give ya a quick run down on my past bikes. I've riden small 90cc Honda 4 wheelers and such, and at the begining of this summer, I figured it was time for me to step up and buy my own bike. I first started out on a red neck 49cc 2 stroke chopper and 49 cc 2 stroke mini 4 wheeler. I felt pretty comfortable on these and wanted something faster. That is when I came across a 110cc 4 stroke 4 gear street bike for $650 shipped. I had some money saved up, and figured I'd by it. I've been 55 mph's on it in 4th. I've riden it for only a few hours, but I had minor mechanical problems with it. I had a local mechanic fix it up for me. O yeah btw, I'm 16 years old and live in Millersville, MD.
I only had 2 questions...
"Close the throttle, and then pull the clutch in all the way, with one finger. Then twist the throttle and dump the clutch."
I read that in the 'Newb' section on how to learn wheelies. I was wondering...
1. Would my 110cc 4 stroke 4 gear(manual) bike, roughly 160 pounds be capable to even ride a wheelie?
2. It says dump the clutch, I take it, that also means shift from 1st to 2nd or just, pull it in, and release?
My second question is when I ride back roads and come into fairly sharp turns I have to be in like 1st gear so I can take them safely. I've seen videos where guys almost lay the bike down, do I use my body or also like pull the bike with me? Also it's a smaller bike, so is it still possable to do it on this size bike?
Finally, I dont have many street bikers to look up to and ask these simple/newbie questions so I turned to this forum. Any answers/input is greatly appreitced!
O yeah, I've noticed this forum has 'gear nazis' and for them, I do have a DOT approved helment.
1.) Do yourself and the sportbike community a favor and stop trying to clutch it up if you cant figure out how to turn it. You are attempting things bass-ackwards and are venturing in to territory beyond your current skill level.
2.) Countersteer! Push right...go right. Push left...go left. Lean with the bike like there is a steel rod that goes right down your spine and into the bike...when it leans, you lean.
Last...go take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation training course in your area. The basic rider course will teach you everything you need to know as a new rider.

I can ride a decent wheelie (working on finding the balance point) on my 80cc dirtbike. The bike is 154lbs, and I'm 170 (aka too big technically). I would say that a 110 would be possible.
Edit: Oh, and iceman isn't getting on your case, he's giving you information so you don't end up being roadkill, which I know you don't want to happen.
No, I know that, and I'm thankful for that, but I was just curious, I wont even attempt to pull a wheelie for awhile. I only figured I'd ask cause I was bored today, and registered and figured I'd throw it out there.
FastJohnny, no I dont, when I save some more money, I plan on buying a camera, untill then, here's the site... http://www.x18pocketbikes.com/
IceMan, I have not done a wheelie yet cause I dont feel comfortable yet, so chill.
I am chill.
Edit: I read your last post...so I wont beat a dead horse here.

Welcome to the site. I would like to back up Iceman's suggestions. It doesn't take much to get hurt on a bike. I won't go into a lecture, I just wanted to place emphasis on his thoughts.
