Hi.. just thought I'd post a msg introducing myself... RacerX780 (aka Steve) here from the armpit of america... New Jersey.
My name is from Speed Racer... Always liked RacerX so that's what I've used over the years...
I had a '97 CBR600 F3, which was my first bike. Took the MSF course in the spring and got my bike shortly thereafter. I road the bike pretty much exclusively for a year because I didn't have a car that ran well and then after that I probably split the time 50-50. I sold the bike in '02 which was a huge mistake.
I miss it greatly... I've stayed away from forums, videos, etc. of bikes cause I figure why torture myself.... but recently I figure why not?
Maybe it will help me save the $$ for a new bike... Unfortunately, my car recently died and I had to get a new one for work, so my bike savings went to that. (I need to carry stuff for work so the bike wouldn't work)
Anyhoo - so here I am... hopefully I'll get a bike this fall/winter and start riding again. I can't stand driving - I mean, I really, really, REALLY can't stand driving... traffic, gas prices, etc. But if I have a bike again, at least I'll have fun riding from place to place.
So that's the short of it....
