Used prices for Honda Interceptor?
Hey all...
I'm looking to sell my EX500 and buy a '98-'03 VFR. Just curious what you'd pay for the following:
'03 Interceptor w/10k miles, like new (about $5000?)
'98 Interceptor w/7k miles, like new (about $4500?)
Thanks for the help!

I looked at a '95 750= 4900 and a '97 750 = 5900. I guess they are overpriced!

The 03 sounds pretty good. Remember to take in the differences between the 98 and 03.
In 2003 I bought a 02 model with 786 miles for $7k from a dealer. I wanted to do it for $6500...but considering it was basically new the (03 models weren't even out yet)...I thought it was a good deal. A new one was somewhere around $11k.

Bought my 98 in May '05 for $5200 with little more than 5000 miles and a Stainless TBR hi-pipe. In Nebraska that was the best deal I could find at the time.

I'm holding out selling my VFR for another month or so. Once I'm sure my wife's still has a job in July (possible layoffs at her work), my VFR will be up for sale to fund a new ZX-14
Mine is a '98 purchased new in 2000 and only has 2300 miles on it. I added a TBR carbon high pipe, Power Commander and a K&N filter. I also added the Y2K mirrors. If anyones interested keep me in mind. Here is a link to some pics

I have heard great things about these bikes. I m looking for a sportbike for touring, but want to be able to put a couple hundred miles on it a day. How are these bikes for longer rides? Comfortable or not. Looks like they are a lot easier on the back and hands.
Thanks.

I can easily run through 2 tanks of gas so long as I take about 10-15 while filling up to rest my butt from the seat. I'm trying to track down a corbin now to extend my trips a bit, esp. the 2-up trips as I can't move around nearly as much as by myself and she gets a bit uncomfortable after about 100-150 miles. For reference I generally get 250-270 out of a tank on the highway so 500 miles shouldn't be too hard once you get some saddle time. I also hae bar risers too so that may help extend the range, not real sure since I bought the biek with them on it, and I've put an adjustable Harris rear-set which is no longer available but that didn't really hurt or extend distance. Good luck man.

JETMAN,
That's one hell of a bike at $5000. If I didn't already have a 98 I'ld buy it myself, plus trying to buy a house it's just not possible now... Man I'ld like to have an extra VFR in the garage!!!! Someone should get a helll of a good bike esp. considering less than 3000 miles and that price. Good luck.
