Default How to replace grips?

Hey guys new to the forum. I just purchased a 2007 600RR. When they loaded it up for me (due to the weather) they used a canyon Dancer. They strapped it down so tight when I got home and unloaded it, I realized both of the grips were lose. No big deal I go pick up better grips anyways thinking they would be easy to replace. The dealer tells me that you just unscrew the end cap and slide or cut the old ones off.. Yeah right.. Thats bullshit! The left side was alright I cut it off and there were two nipples you have to push in to pull out the end cap and the weights. Now the right side (throttle side) you can not do it that way. I cut the old grip off and that leaves you with the throttle sleeve. The end cap doesn't unscrew... It just turns and turns. I called the dealer back and they told me to just pull on it and it will come lose. Ha, I pulled and spun it in circles until my hand was swollen...I called the dealer where I bought it and they told me the same story, but I could bring it in and they would look at it.. Well thats almost 3 hours from home, so I really don't want to take it back there. Has anyone replaced them and gone through this, or know how to get the end cap off, or how to get around the throttle sleeve..

Thanks in advance...
