Default GSXR SET Valve Mod w/Pics

This is a very common mod for GSXR models with a SET valve. If you have a model other than a K6-K7, PM me for the correct ecu wire to disconnect.

SET Valve Mod Question K6-K7-K8 600/750 (Updated w/K5-K6 1k info)

The SET valve itself is located in the exhaust collector underneath the engine.

To simply disable the SET you don't need to remove any fairings, just the seat. If you want to remove the SET valve and all the associated hardware you will of course have to pull the fairings. The only advantage I can think of for doing this is the removal of about a pound or two of stuff you aren't using anymore.

Removing/cutting the wire as I described will only disable the FI warning/error code for the SET valve. All other FI warning codes will still be fully functional.
