Default Tapping from trans 06 1KRR???? WTF???

I went out for a ride the other day and I was under a heavy load shifting from first to second gear. As soon as I started to give it the gas after releasing the clutch it kicked back out of second. This is the second time it has done this. The first time I thought it might have been something I did, now I'm positive it isn't.

Anyway, very shortly after that I pulled the clutch in and started to downshift as I was slowing down I hear a tapping noise from the left hand side of the bike. I held the clutch in and notice that with each gear I drop down the tapping is faster although the bike speed is almost the same.

I started paying more attention and the noise is there all the time just most noticeable on decel with the clutch in. When you put it in neutral the tapping slows quickly and then stops completely.

Any ideas WTF is wrong??? It's under warranty and the dealer has told me that it is going to be 2-3 weeks before I get it back. That just seems completely insane to me.
