Default Honda Oil? Synthetic Honda or other?

After several searches, it appears that most people use synthetic oils after 4,000 miles on their machines. Do you guys use the Honda HP4 10W-40 oil? Or should I stay with the regular GN4? What's the implications on the warranty coverage? If I go sythentic, should I look at the Motul or Mobile offerings? What type of filters, OEM or aftermarket? Sorry, I'm sure there's informaiton on the forum, but I wanted to get a specific Honda owner opinon on this (esp. CBR 600 F4i owners).

The machine I just purchased has 3,300 miles, so I'm thinking about staying with the conventional oils at least until 4,000 miles before changing to synthetic.

I use yamalube cuz I don't like the honda dealer here. I also use k&n oil filters because they are easy to install and get off with their nut welded on them and they are a little cheaper then the honda filter. I've also seen a couple of independent tests on the fram filters and they're not made very well.
