Default EBC HH brakes whining

My brand new EBC brakes whine when I'm braking at lower speeds. It's a low pitched sound. Anyone have any idea if this is supposed to happen or will I just need to ride on them more? I've got about 200 miles on them so far.

The EBC HH pads whine alittle more than stock pads do. Also after 200 miles they won't be fully bedded in. Give it alittle more time. Maybe put the front of the bike up and spin the tire to see if they are dragging too much.

Mine took about 1000 miles before the whine stopped and were completely broken in.

Generally, brake squeal comes from the backing plate contacting the piston and vibrating. You can try some disk brake quieting compound. I like the CRC spray on product. The steel pieces that clip to the back of the pads (on some applications) are meant to serve the same purpose but sometimes even these need a little help from a product to modify the harmonics.
