Default 600R CDI Swap

Just wondering if you guys can give me any insight.
I have an 88 Ninja 600r, The CDI box had an issue where if you tapped it, the bike would die, not a good thing on a bumpy road. I wasnt able to get a used CDI box from my friends salvage yard, but I found one for an 89 ZX750.
I plugged it into my bike and it runs great. Better throttle response, and
midrange power. Now my Question is, will there be any negative affects by
running this CDI. I assume it has a different advance curve and so forth.

Does it look identical to your old CDI box? If so, it's possible they are the same part--you can look up part numbers on buykawasaki.com.

They will probably have differant ignition curves.

A little bit different ignition curve with more agressive ignition timing would be my bet. If it runs fine I would just keep an eye on it for any signs of knocking/pinging/detonation.
