ninja 250r seat cowl

hey guys, i have just bought a ninja 250r seat cowl and when i installed it, it seems not to fit tight on the bike, you can see that there is a big gap between the front of the seat cowl and the bike, can you pls help me fix this? and another thing do you remove the rubber grommet that comes with the oem seat cowl when re-installing the seat or leave it there? thx
