Default Throttle/Grip sticking

Re-installing my throttle cables to the handlebar and the throttle feels maybe a little stiffer on acceleration and doesnt decelerate automaticaly when i release it. So I was just hoping somebody will know what I am overlooking. Was thinking the lube under the grip or I will probably lubricate the cables but I dont see any kinks in the cables. Thanks

Make sure the cables are not too tight. Both cables. If they fight each other they can cause the kind of binding you're seeing.

check the cable routing for any binding or too much of a bend someplace.

don't lube the throttle tube with anything. I tried it with just about everything I could find. it works much better for a longer period of time with nothing on it.

as for the cables. you will need to buy a cable luber tool and some cable lube. some chain lubes double as cable lube. so if you have some look at the can you might be able to use that.

Check that your grip isn't dragging on the barend. Very simple, and if you changed grips or towed the bike recently with a strap around the grip, it's very likely.

I hauled my bike to a track day and that was one of the tiny things they found in tech. Missed the first session for mopping water out of the bellypan, adding chain slack, and working the throttle grip back into place.
