Unhappy Bouncy!!!!!!!!!

Ok... I took my motorcycle to the shop today to have them put a sprocket and chain kit on for me. I got home and they called me and said that there was a nail in the back tire. So i went ahead and bought a set of the Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs. A few hours later i picked it up, and on the drive home i noticed it was bouncing real bad. it didn't bounce as bad when i would speed up to about 50 or 60 but it wasn't normal or comfortable at all. Could someone please give me some suggestions on what might be going on with my bike?

What kind of tires did you have before the pp's? Did you check the air pressure in the new tires? Too high = bouncy. Also, did the shop balance the wheels with the new tires mounted?

Sounds like a ballance issue or possibly an out of round tire. Make sure the tire beads are properly seated around the rim

the dealers will fill those tires up to manufacturer specs. My zx6r is like 42 rear 38 front or something crazy. That will def give you some bounce if you were using less pressure before.

thanx yall. i was thinking it might be the tire pressure. i will check it when my dad gives me my tire gauge back from borrowing it. if its not the pressure then i guess i'll call back to the shop and tell them about it. thanx for the help.

I must've been blind!

We have the same bike, different year, but same lol. I usually run like a 34 front 36 rear on the street. If I'm going a long distance I'll boost it up but that manufacturer recommended will bounce you all around. At least on my stock tires it did.

Also check the chain tension, if it's too tight, it'll make the bike feel bouncy too.

Full frame off restoration.

Or tire balance, whichever comes first.

Thanx for all the suggestions. The rear tire was not seated all the way, so i took it back and got them to fix it.
