Default crashed a bike...have a couple questions

So last week i crashed an sv650 and the bike is in alot better shape than i was expecting but i have 2 questions.

so first...thats the damage to the radiator. is a new one needed? and if it does...is this still in ridable condition?

second....the impact bent the frame slider like that. Is this gonna damage the frame at all? and how difficult should this be to take out?

thanks so much in advance. its my buddies bike and im trying to do as much as i can for him.

If the radiator looks dry at that damaged part is why replay it for the looks. You want water sealed in the engine so pass if she pressure checks OK.

The frame is more the steering and does it steer straight or did you bend the neck is more important than that side engine mount deal. You can always have that re-welded.

If it tracks straight, you are home free and let the parts slide if the pun fits, use it.

If you don't lose any fluid through the radiator than it's fine

The frame slider, I did the same thing to mine, I took a grinder and cut it off until I could get to the bolt and undid the bolt and ran a new one in the hole, no damage done at all. I think te bolts are made soft to prevent frame damage.

LSL Frame Sliders Spiegler LSL Frame Sliders

See how they mount offset from the engine bolt and have a reinforced mounting piece that goes over the engine mount boss. They're designed to keep the bike from spinning on it if something gets caught, and designed not to flop over like the one that was on the bike.

So you were riding your buddy's bike and crashed it? - Man that sucks. -for your buddy that is.

wow i know a bunch of people with these sv650's and they all have bad luck with them! one of my friends that own this sv was riding when a pizza hut delivery guy pulled out in front of him, he went down and did the same exact damge as littlec! dented and bent radiator, fell on the frame slider and it bent his whole frame, broke his front and back brake levers and foot pegs! o yea and he bent his yoshimura exhaust! thats shitty!
