Bike Dies, and a brake issue
Ok I just rebuilt my bikes exterior
I had the tank and some exterior parts powder coated, the fairing painted, installed a two-brothers PCIII and took out the cat.
Got it running last night, LOUD as hell, just reved it a few times and called it a night.
Then today I tried to ride it. the front brakes were riding the whole time, I could barely move it, so I kept trying to pull the calipers back and drive it around the block and repeat to get them to re-adjust... it started to improve. but then the bike stopped running.
I started for like the 4th time, it reved up and down a few times then died, I started it again same thing about 2 more times. Now I can't get it to run for more than a second or two and I have to hold the starter for a good 20 seconds to get it to start and it dies right after I let off. Its like its choked or not getting enough fuel.
My first guess (fuel filter) is clogged because there was crap in the tank from the powder coating.... I blew it out with the compressor, then rinsed it out with water and blew it out again twice after that to get anything left and make sure it was dry.
Anyone have any other suggestions before I rip the tank back off and tear the guts out of it and pitch $20 in gas?
BTW bike is a 2007 yamaha fz6
