Default 1994 zx9r problem...HELP!

I've got a 94 zx9r ninja that I've had for just this riding season. Everything on the bike is great except... when I'm at about 50-60 mph and let off the throttle, I start to get headshake. THe handlebars just start going back and forth like crazy. I replaced the bearings and seals with no change. Any suggestions to what it could be? I do have aftermarket rims on it, but the previous owner put them on, could that be part of the problem? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Check front and rear wheel balance. Is the chain aligned well on the sprockets and not too tight?

And welcome to SBN!!

Whats the wear on the front tire? My 900RR has headshake on decel between 45 and 55 MPH because of an old front tire.

^Bingo, me too. Toward the end of the tire's life it did this. It was cupped slightly as well.
