Help Me Fix ItA great place to post any problems you maybe having while working on your motorcycle. Most of us are do-it-yourselfers so this is a great way to share any information pertaining to fixing something or adding something on.
Long story short, was on my way home last night...In the upper rpm range when the bike just started dying. I had the throttle down and it still wouldn't go. Down shifted a couple times and then it kicked back on. So, I started accelerating and it felt really sluggish, and when it gets to about 7-8000 rpm it just started studdering and won't got past 8K. Put it in dealer mode and no codes, It will drive but only to 6500-7000 rpm and just wont rev higher. Please help. Thanks, Tim.

Check to see if any cylinders are dead. Once the bike is warmed up, carefully spray a little water on each exhaust header pipe to see if any are cold. There should be some steam from cylinders that are firing. Alternately, start the bike from cold, let it run for about 30 seconds, and CAREFULLY feel each exhaust header.
A bad plug or wire will kill one cylinder. A bad ignition coil may kill 2 cylinders unless your bike has one coil per cylinder rather than 2 coils for all 4 cylinders.

Never out-ride your ability to react (even stop) within the distance you can see (at least on the street).
Did you check the throttle cable itself. I had this happen when the adjuster under the tank had a nut come loose and I couldn't rev any higher. Also it may be the fuel pump slowly dying.
When posting a problem it is always helpful if you include the make model and year of the bike but I'm assuming its the one in your Avtar. K6 may still be under warrentee. I would check plugs, fuel filters now suzuki has some odd twin butterfly arrangment this could be part of the problem. Or it might be the secound set of injectors not kicking it assuming it is equiped so. I suggest you find a workshop manual and have a read (probally avliable online somewhere).
