Try lightly sanding the pads and rotors with a fine sandpaper

Before you try sanding, try doing some really aggressive stops with the bike. Get those brakes nice and HOT.

Get up to about 50 mph and slow down as fast as possible (while still being safe). Do this where the road is pretty empty, obviously.

Do it like 4 times in a row and then see if the problem goes away.

New pads and rotors sometimes take a while to bed in. Also- some pads that are a bit aggressive WILL squeal.

My car does it sometimes, but it's the nature of the beast. Performance brakes are meant for stopping, not necessarily being super quiet.

Like Kevin said...sometimes it takes a bit for them to break in. My Carbon Lorraine pads that I put on my GSXR for racing did a squeal a bit at first until the first time I dived bombed them at 120+.

Hyosung GT250R

Pros: Looks nice and sporty, top speed 178km comfy to ride

Cons: Brakes are squeaky, tyre is poor cracks all throughout the rear tyre, chain required replacement at 5000km. Nut contiues to fall of the the front chain cog, nut came of the chain guard and the metal plate destroyed new chain. The fairing becomes loose constantly broke.

Overall: These bikes are absolute crap. They fall apart. I am having to go over the nuts and bolts daily before riding to ensure they are not loose and tighten those that are. I have done 12,400km. The bike vibrates pretty bad over 100km (60mile). I am having trouble with the Dealer here in Sydney over the warranty, they dont seem to want to fix it or even look at it. I have had to buy the parts myself as they have broken or fell off. Bike brought new 6 mths ago July 2007. At this moment I am not riding the bike as I believe it is too risky to ride, and Im getting sick of what I have to do with all the checking of nuts and bolts before riding. I used it to commute doing an average of 120km per day 5 days per week. I would not recommend the Hyosung GT250R to anyone especially a learner rider. Stay well away from these bikes as you are putting your life at risk by buying one. I first commented on how good this bike first appeared, but now no way crap garbage crap

I have not really heard too many negative reviews on these bikes, so it's kind of strange to see that.

Was there any recommended fixes on the site you found that on or anything?

Dude, you of all people should not be giving advice...You are the stereotype that gives sportbikers a bad name...You even blamed your own stupid crash that was caused by your own inexperience on a, and spell it with me, d-a-m-p-e-r...You're a how-not-to rider on a daily basis...

And besides, there's a member on this site who thinks the Hyo is a great bike!

My new 2007 Hyosung GT 250R! <<<--- clicky

you don't understand, he got it right, when talking about a hyosung you use the word breaks.

brake squeal is 100% the pads fault. some do it more than others. some don't do it at all. it's all in the composition of the materials.
even the R6 was known for squealing brakes. I simply swapped them out for real pads. Ferodo sinter. 2 problems solved, lackluster performance, and squealing.
