Default to those of you guys/gals who knows a thing or two about carbs

hats off to you!

currently i am reading this awesome motorcycle fundamentals and repair manual. i am on the fuel system chapter focusing on carbs.

goodness, all the different circuits, slides, vacuums, needles, etc. my head hurts and i'm going to have to read it again to understand it fully.

motorcycle fundamentals, service, and repair.

i think it is a good, informative book. i believe printed in '99 but the principles of the motorcycle are the same.

i basically wanted it to just familiarize myself with the ins-n-outs of the motorcycle, not to become a know it all. so far it has been worth it.

$60 at barnes and noble.

yes it does ... it is the next topic.

it covers everything concerning a motorcycle, and also owning your own garage (i.e. what tools you need, the codes you need to follow, etc.)

I agree, carbs are pretty amazing machines. Such a simple concept that got improved over the years a bit at a time, until you have all sorts of systems like cold start solenoids, anti-dieseling, different circuits for different modes of operations, vacuum secondaries... yeah pretty cool stuff.
