Default Cold weather riding....

This morning i was taking the bike too work. Its 30 degrees outside. The bike started a little rough but once it ran for a few seconds it was fine. I started on my journy to work. I went about 5 miles and came to a red light and the bike wanted to stall, and it sounded like a plug was fouled out. This happens alot of the time when i ride the bike in cold weather. It seams like after I ride it for a couple miles it fouls a plug.

Could it be the cold weather?

anybody have any similar problems?

I didnt get to ride it very far to see if it would get better. Its about a 7 minute ride from my house to work. I will open her up after work and see how she is.

When you use the choke, make sure you don't leave it on to long. Lean it out once it starts to warm up. That can foul plugs.

When my bikes had carbs, i would always get off the choke as quickly as possible.

Are you even using the choke? You said is started a litle rough, shouldn't start rough with choke. Choking will only foul your plugs if you use it while the engine is warm. You can use it up till the temp guage shows about 110 regardless how long it takes.

yeah i used the choke. It was only cranking slow due to the cold weather. once it starts i leave the choke on for about 1 to 2 minutes.
