Default High Idle revs on my Bandit

Hi All,

Im new to the community.

I took my bandit out of storage this winter and wanted to adjust the valves (10K miles). When I lifted the tank out, the overflow hose was kinked and spewed out some water and rust. That kinda got me worried, but I didnt think it was a problem. I got my valves tightened a little too much (without the proper tools) and the engine wasnt firing right. So I thought it was the carbs plugged coz of storage. I poured some sea foam in thinking it would fix the carbs. That didnt help. Since I didnt have the space to do another valve fix, I took it to the local dealer. The bike seemed fine until i filled the tank and noticed fuel overflowing from the drain pipe as soon as it crossed about 2.5 gallons. I feel theres a hole in the pipe that drains water from the fuel cap to under the bike. Ive never seen anything like this before and was wondering if anyone can suggest something? The bike also idles rough at 2500rpm! I have no idea why?

Help!!!!

Did you adjust clearances on the valves ?? Too tight and the valves are hanging open, it really have to be measured.
Is it a carbed bike ?
For the fuel escaping, the kinked hose probably rusted a hole trough the tube, check this out, but you may need another tank.

Thats what I thought too. Is there any way I can plug the hole in the fuel tank drain pipe. I was thinking of passing an inner tube through the existing one, but doesnt pass through easily. Maybe the pipe snakes its way through the tank.

I'll bet you have some gunk under the carb float needles due to storage that isn't allowing the needle valve to close completely so gas is overfilling the carbs - could that be it?
