Power Commander corrupting maps
I own a 2005 GSXR1000. I installed a Power Commander about 8000 miles ago and am was happy with the performance. Last week I installed an Ignition Module and Quick Shifter and only tested them for about 10 miles, but they seemed to work fine. Two weekends ago I finished installing an LCD module and Hub. I hooked up the speed, gear position, pressure input (which is hooked to a wide band O2 sensor), and map switch. Everything worked fine for the first 40 miles. After saving the log file and shutting off the bike to take a break, on the return trip, the bike started missing above 7500 rpm and I got the dreaded FI code. The code would go away if I shut the ignition off and back on, but returned as soon as I tried to go above 7500. I checked the map file in the Power Commander and some how it was corrupted.
So, I reinstalled map1 and map2 the following week and after my ride lo and behold both maps were corrupted again. Any one experience this problem?
PC firmware 2.1.2
IGN firmware 2.1.1
LCD firmware 1.0.2
map file m325-017 (unmodified) map1 and map2
I tried to get help from Dynojets tech support, but so far have had no luck (meaning none). After spending close to $1000 on thier products, I'm kind of pissed about the support.

Recheck your wiring and connections. If you can't find an obvious defect, disconnect all the stuff you wired in. If it still has the problem, remove it immediately.
Sorry I can't be more specifically helpful, but it is an old rule of thumb to look closely at the last thing you fixed before deciding something else is broken.

I dont get why everyone wants these things. the small amounts of gain vs the money isnt even worth it unless you are doing major engine and head work. IMHO.

Jim,
I've triple checked all the wiring and everything looks ok. Every seems to work until the map gets corrupted. The only thing I can think of is the ignition module is mounted to the Power Commander as per Dynojets suggestions. I think the static ram may be getting zapped by the magnetic field emitted by the ignition module. I will re-locate it next.

Also Jim,
the whole lookup table (map file) does not get corrupted, only a few values. Before I installed the additional modules I never checked the Power Commander map, so the problem may have existed from day one. The bike has experienced some vibrations from time to time, I just thought it was the nature of the beast.

Its not an issue of horse power but a drivability problem. Stock, the bike had a really bad hesitation at part throttle and a really nasty lurch. The bike already has more horsepower than any one can use on the street.
