Theres power to tail lights and tacks. but theres always a sound like a solidnoid turing on when I turn the key but theres noting. Anybody have any ideas.

sounds like yer battery is dead. Do you have a load tester, or a charger?
have you tried to bump start the bike?

Get a wiring diagram for your bike, or maybe you can see it just by tracing the wire. Find the terminal where the power wire from your switch goes into the starter solenoid. When you press the starter, is there voltage? If there isn't, start by replacing/repairing the switch. If there is, probably a bad solenoid or starter.

Got it 2 crank over
I think it might be the solenoid because i can jump the starter and and get it to crank over i havent gone as far as running it. I hope its not a number of things.

I had a problem like that on my old 1993 seca II it was due to a bad battery connection it had enough juice to run the lights and stuff but it would just click when I went to start it. so I cleaned up the terminals and I was good it's worth a shot if you haven't already tried it that is.... just my .02
