Default is it normal..

for my front sprocket to make a clink noise at every link when i turn the wheel on the stand??i also had it running in gear on the stand and the chain moves from side to side a little bit, is that normal too.the rear sprocket is fine i think cant see the front

Does the chain seem to be loose? Is the rear wheel out of alignment at all (slightly cocked one way or the other)?

Does the chain have stiff links? Have you gone down to a really small front sprocket?

Worn chain/sprockets will make the chain ride up on the teeth and drop into the low making a sound like your describing.
