Default Comments on plug pics?

Manual said to check/clean/change the plugs if needed. These came out at about 11,600 miles. Even though the old ones look OK and were still gapped correctly, it was easier to put in new ones than clean the old.

Comments on their condition? Thanks.

Its almost impossible to tell how an engine runs by the plugs if you use them for street riding.

Plug reading is a bitch and very subjective at best.

The problem arises with the fact that a proper idle circuit is "rich" to begin with.

So if you want to read plugs to see how shit is running..........youll need to do plug chops.

Overall.............Im surprised you pulled them out...........they looked good to me.

That's what I thought, but wanted to ask. Since I had new plugs, it was easier to gap them and put the new ones in than clean the old ones and put them back.

Bike ran fine with the old plugs and still runs fine with the new ones.

I know. But I bought new plugs before pulling the old ones just in case and knew that I'd use them eventually anyway. They are so hard to get out and back in that I couldn't bear to put the old ones back in.

Agreed. On the TL the front one is enough of a bitch to get to that my PO didn't even bother with it. I could tell because he used a regular single electrode plug in the rear but it still had the stock dual electrode in the front when I changed them.

look much better than mine did at 11,200 miles. there isn't thick deposits on the cathode so i'd say the burn is fairly efficient (full fuel burn). breed is right tho, hard to tell just from pics.
