2005 gsxr 600 wierd problem
k heres the story, i got off work at 11pm its was about 45 degrees outside and i was on my way home from work, i was crusing at 45mph and i looked down at my speedo and its not on its just blank, then my rpms go down to zero and then the bike shuts off! so i pull over and have my friend pick me up and we go downtown for an hour or two then we head home and we stop by my bike and it starts. so i start driving get like 300 yards and it does the same thing. what is going on with my bike. when i tried to start it today it just goes chu chu chu chu and doesnt start. what is going on with my bike it isnt the gas cause its a full tank. I have a power commander do you think something is wrong with that? it also has 13100 miles on it. help me out guys

Start with the basics first. Make sure that your battery connections are solid and secure. Then check your battery to make sure it is charged. Check your fuse box as well. if you keep having problems disconnect the power commander and plug the stock connections back together. If she fires up check the dash panel to check for any error codes.
Good luck

That's not a gas issue period, or if it was that's some really fucking gnarly gas. Sounds like it could be battery or the charging system. First off hold the throttle wide open and try to turn the bike over, if itb doesn't start with the rest of the diagnosis. Get an inexpensive multimeter (I have a Craftsman that cost me $20 and it was worth it) and start with battery connection, measure the voltage comming from the battery (if it's not putting out 10.8 or so your plugs might not fire, it's like that with Honda). If that checks out pull your spark plugs.

No error code, sounds like a PC problem. Disconnect the PC and see what happens.
