R1 error codes

I am the recent owner of a 2000 R1 that has been slightly modified for track days (braided lines, steering damper, 208s and a full titanium/carbon Akropovic system).

After a hard days riding with some buddies my tach started to behave erratically dropping to 0, bouncing up to 7k and then to the correct reading over and over again. I found out that this is an EXUP error code and since the EXUP is not being used I’m not sure what the deal is. Does anyone know how to clear the code so I can get the tack back to normal. I tried unplugging the computer hoping it would reset but no joy.

Any help would be really great. It is a really annoying problem.

Couldn’t find anything there. I just want a simple answer, how do I clear the error code from the tach so it will read correctly all the time instead of every 6 seconds! Do I have to take it to a shop or is there a way to do it in my back yard.
