Default can't shift into 1st or neutral

I was riding my bike today for the 1st time after owning it (test rode it once) and I can't shift the bike into neutral or 1st. This is really frustrating. ALl the other gears work perfectly!

Can you shift it in the problem gears with the engine off? If yes it could be warped clutch plates or a misadjusted clutch. If not you could have bent shift forks, which calls for a tranny teardown

Are you trying to shift at a dead stop, or are you moving on the bike when trying to shift?
