Default I need some help CBR929rr 2001

Ok so here is the deal, I have a (2001 929rr) about a week now and love it. It rides just great. Now here is my problem, say im riding along at 65 in 6th gear and go to snap the throttle on. The bike doesn’t jump off but instead the bike wraps up to like 10 or 11 like i just pulled the clutch in. It doesn't hit the rev limiter but slowly accelerates forward and starts to apply power gradually, with the motor still wrapped up. I have only had the bike a week and had not snapped the throttle on till last night. If I role it on it pulls just fine, if I give it more gas then it wants it starts to rev. It does this in every gear across the board but like I said rides just fine the rest of the time. Its only under rapid throttle does it rev like this. The only think I can thing is that the clutch is not disengaging all the way and causing the bike to rev. If that was the case I think that I would see this all the time correct?? Any help or ideas you have would be great I think I am going to take it into Honda tomm and see what they say.

how many miles are on it? Your lack of periods make it difficult to follow what you're saying, but I would say it sounds like it's time for a new clutch maybe? I can't really be certain as that wasn't the most coherent thing.

Sounds like clutch slippage like Burn suggested. 6th gear is the highest load for the motor and will cause the clutch to slip more than any other gear if it is worn out.

Does your lever pull feel ok?

Sorry about the lack of periods it was a late night i went back and tried to edit it a little bit. The bike has 9000 miles on it. The clutch lever feels fine to me but i don't have any freeplay in the lever when its out all the way. Im not sure if the clutch is releasing all the way

Adjust the lever so you have atleast a quarter of an inch of free play. If the adjustment is all the way in on the lever, use the adjustment at the other end of the cable.

At the end of the lever right? Supposed to be only 2-3mm at the lever's hinge.

You will want to have enough room at the hinge to stick a nickel in. Try adjusting your clutch properly before assuming the clutch is bad. Also, having a mis-adjusted clutch will reduce the life of the clutch.

Also, check out this thread I posted long ago about the 929's.

You'll probably still be replacing the clutch a bit earlier than you'd like if the previous owner was driving it around with the clutch cable set to tight.

Yea thats what i was thinking but it still seems to have good pull and alot of plate left. I think honda put a new clutch in and didn't set the adjument right.
