Default speedo/odo/trip-o stopped workin

Ok well this morning at like 1230 am i decided i wanted to go for a ride (i had just gotten home about an hour ago and all was fine) so i go out and get on the bike start it up and get to the end of my street to realize my speedo reads 0 and my odometer and tripometer are not turning at all. The bikes is a 94 600F2. any ideas why the whole gauge cluster would stop workin? ( from wut i understand is the odo/trip runs off the front wheel and the speedo runs off the motor) any ideas? this is funny cuz earlier that night a harley guy was friendly bustin my balls about ridin a jap bike and he goes on to tell a friend "yea the only thing wrong with the bike is the gas gauge dont work" well stupid me just had to reply with "haha all of my gauges work fine" man i got

Both run off the front wheel. Cable is probably broke someplace.

Yes, on our bikes, it's run off the front wheel. Look on the left side (while you are on it) and you'll see the speedo cable going down to the center of the wheel. To fix it, all you probably have to do is reconnect it underneath your instrument cluster. It came off on my bike, and it came off on my brothers bike too. Seems to be fairly common, it just works itself loose.

Cable driven speedo's need to be obsolete soon. I hate them.
