Default cold start noise question

is it normal for my bike (94 cbr f2) to make some rattling/knocking sounds for about 5 seconds when i start it up from cold (its about 10 degrees celsius here, whats that, 50 fahrenheit?). Its only for a few seconds though so I've never been too worried about it. Its fine once its warmed up. Just had valves done/carbs synced if it matters. I don't remember it doing it last riding season but it was much warmer out. Does this happen to all bikes?

Happens to mine as well, I haven't looked into it yet though.

It is an oil pressure issue...what kind of oil are you using? If it is only a few seconds...that is the time it is taking to completely lube everything...Also, the CCT is oil pressure driven...it could be rattling until lubed up...get it checked

On the F2's that noise is almost always associated to CCT. They had a problem with them and an updated one was available to cure the problem.

CCT are a wearable item and should be treated as such. Replace every so often. its cheap insurance for you to not need to buy pistons and valves.

Oil pressure issues do vary with start up but if you read your manual, it takes the bike being fully warmed up to see what the pressure really is so I really doubt that one. The book says 70 psi at 6000 rpm's fully warmed. You can get a cheap pressure gauge and the right adaptor if you want to check for a bearing problem.
