Default Did I use the right oil?
Just did my first oil change on my 2001 EX500. Used an STP oil filter and Mobil 1 MX4T 10w40 synthetic oil.

This ok with the EX500 and ~50-60 degree weather?

It's fine. You don't need to buy the $10/qt motorcycle-spec synthetic next time unless it makes you feel warm and tingly inside.

so whats the best synthetic to use for the money? I know the Castrol s*it is like 9 bucks a qt!
