Exclamation 1990 Fairing on a 1991 ZX750

I posted a couple weeks ago about putting a newer fairing on a 91 750, and decided against trying that. well...

how about putting a 1990 zx750 fairing on a 91 zx750. i know the parts look extremely close, and the fairings themselves look the same(this coming from kawasakis part diagrams-often inconsistent), but has anybody ever pieced these parts together and got them to work?

thanks in advance

I still dont understand why you don just buy and endurance upper from someone and call it a day. Your tripping over dollars to pick up pennies.

Stop trying to graft one model of that bike to another and think its just going to line up and be perfect. It doesnt happen. You will always compromise one thing to get something else. I would bet you can get and endurance upper for that thing with no other body work for 250-280 dollars. no hassle nothing.

I appreciate the tip! My time is worth money to my boss.. haha, i could care less about surfing around for a deal during the workday, but yeah, making some parts and trying to fit it might take a little while:

I make $17/hr, so $250 is 14.7 hours to me, so if I can fit the part in one day, or the equivalent, it would be worth it to me.

Now... an endurance upper, what is it? I will do a search later when I have time, but just wondering, is it stock-like(fittings/lights)?

thanks for the input!

Well, sharkskinz makes an endurance upper that uses one headlight. airtech makes one as well.

This is something you could make fit in about 1 hour, leaving you time to make the 17 an hour instead of messing around and tweeking something to fit.

If you get one you will have to buy the lower from the same company to insure a correct fit.

Links: www.sharkskinz.com and then motorcyclebodywork.com

Airtech makes one that uses the stock headlights and can be used as replacements. I am not too impressed with thier stuff but it works and being your not racing the thing it will do quite well
